Hanny Newton – Workshop – Creative Goldwork

March 20 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

£20.00 – £45.00

Workshop content
Creative Goldwork – Discover a creative approach to goldwork embroidery. Hanny will show you how you can open up a world of possibilities to experiment with and explore within this centuries old art form whatever your stitching experience. This workshop gives embroiderers of all backgrounds the opportunity to get creative and explore the possibilities of goldwork techniques of couching with metal threads and chipping / cut work with metal purls.

Throughout the workshop you will build up your own unique series of hand embroidery samples, interpreting the kit designs provided in your own unique way.

Hanny’s goldwork embroidery workshops are a balance of technique and experimentation, leaving plenty of ‘breathing space’ for artists to find their own response to the historical techniques of goldwork.
