£6.00Everyday life and the past have provided Maria with inspiration to create a body of work which explores human perspectives, narratives and memories, The discovery of a bundle of old letters, and the stories contained within them, has provided her with the inspiration of create a large body of work that has been exhibited widely and still informs her art practice today.
Maria is a textile artist whose diverse art practice explores everyday life and what is it to be human.
Like most textile artists she started her textile journey doing City and Guilds and now has a MA in Fine Art from the University of Chester where she studied under Maxine Bristow.
Having lived most of her life in Cheshire she now lives on the outskirts of London and is a member of Prism Textile.
