About the Speaker
Sara is a former journalist, she has been stitching text on to her quilts for 20 years, using the textile surface to explore social, political and personal issues, sometimes with a dash of humour. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is included in several museum collections, including the V&A and the International Quilt Museum in the US. Her book “Text in Textile Art” was published in 2013 and Sara is a selected member of the pan-European group Quilt Art.
