Embroidered Wreaths
Thursday 17th October 2024, 10am – 4pm

Material requirements
This is a hand stitching workshop.

Participants to bring:
Usual sewing kit – fabric / thread scissors
Any special materials to make the wreath personal eg lace, buttons.
It is advised to wear old clothes or bring an apron.

Equipment / materials supplied by the tutor:
Fabric, needles, mesh, airdry clay, plastic sheets, paint and bowls.
There is no charge for tutor materials

About the Artist
” I create bespoke textiles mixing media and building up tactile delicate surfaces. I work and rework my pieces with paint, dyes, bleach and ink, burning and layering until finishing it with hand stitch. I find beauty in flaky walls, overgrown buildings and encrusted surfaces; this is something I recreate in my work.”

The Workshop
Create a bespoke hand embroidered wreath. During the workshop you will create your own embellishments and buttons before colouring your base fabrics. You will then begin to build your wreath with hand stitch and texture. Finish with bespoke haberdashery and adornments

 Please bring your own lunch.  There will be tea / coffee and biscuits provided.

Booking Terms and Conditions:
The fee is non-refundable if you cancel (unless another person can take your place.)
We occasionally have a waiting list for a workshop and if that is the case your place would be offered to the next person on the list. If there isn’t a waiting list then you might know someone who could take your place.

With this in mind, please let Bookings know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
