DESCRIPTION:Description\nDuring the talk Julie will look at coloring fabric\, spontaneous stitching\, Stitch books\, hand\, and freestyle machine stitching. \nThere will be stitch books and other mixed media makes for sale. \nAbout the artist\n“I have a lifelong love of creativity; my skills and journey into stitching have developed over many years beginning with a qualification in Fine art. A combination of taking my superannuation from nursing after 38 years in the NHS and joining a stitch book collective just before the pandemic was a turning point in my mixed media art journey. Having more time to play and create meant I had time to experiment with painting and stitch\, bringing both skills together to become innovative and creative in a new way. I am inspired by nature\, birds\, history and portraits and my work often features these. I continue to collage and paint and find this inspires my stitching.
